SpellForce III’s Fallen God Expansion Gets Release Date

THQ Nordic has released a new trailer for Grimlore Games’ RTS/RPG hybrid SpellForce III‘s upcoming standalone expansion, Fallen God, announcing its PC release on November 3, 2020. Players will be able to take on the role of Akrog, the young chieftain of the game’s newest playable faction, the Trolls. With a people that’s been kept in chains, harangued by disease, and hunted down for their valuable tusks, Akrog is offered a path to salvation by a mysterious Elven stranger; all he has to do is resurrect a fallen god.

Fallen God’s fifteen-hour campaign takes place on the new continent of Urgath, and will introduce new weapon-salvaging and character-shaping mechanics. It will also include multiple endings. The expansion will also add ranked matches to multiplayer using an Elo-based rating system with six factions available to choose from: Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Dark Elves, and Trolls. It will also include full Steam Workshop support as well as modding tools that will let players create their own maps. A previous expansion, SpellForce III: Soul Harvest, was released in 2019 and added the Dwarves and Dark Elves.
