Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Announced

As part of the New Game Plus Expo showcase, Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates announced Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. This sequel, featuring similar 8-bit aesthetics and 2D side-scrolling action as its predecessor, will feature several familiar faces as well as some new characters, which the player can freely switch between during gameplay with the press of a button: Zangetsu, the swordsman; spear-wielding Dominique; Robert, the sharpshooter; and Hachi, who pilots a suit of magic armor. A trailer is viewable below.

Curse of the Moon was originally created as a stretch goal for the crowdfunding campaign of 2019’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A release date has not been announced, beyond a mention that it is “coming soon”.
