Second Dev Diary for King’s Bounty II Released

1C Entertainment has released the second in its series of behind-the-scenes developer diaries for the upcoming tactical RPG King’s Bounty II. While the first dev diary served as an introduction to the sequel as a whole, this seven-minute video delves deeper into the series’ past and analyzes its evolution up to this point.

The King’s Bounty series began with the original title released for PC in 1990, which was designed by Might & Magic series creator Jon Van Canegham. A Sega Genesis version, with significant changes, was released in 1991. A spiritual sequel to the original game, King’s Bounty: The Legend, was released for PC and Mac in 2008, with its engine used for further sequels King’s Bounty: Armored Princess, King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North, and King’s Bounty: Dark Side. King’s Bounty II is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and has just been confirmed for Nintendo Switch. It is set to be released sometime in 2020.
