First Dev Diary Released for King’s Bounty II

Publisher and developer 1C Entertainment released its first dev diary video for the upcoming tactical RPG King’s Bounty II. The six-minute video, viewable below, looks at three major elements of the game: exploration, hero management, and tactical combat.

The King’s Bounty series began with the original title released for PC in 1990, which was designed by Might & Magic series creator Jon Van Canegham. A Sega Genesis version, with significant changes, was released in 1991. A spiritual sequel to the original game, King’s Bounty: The Legend, was released for PC and Mac in 2008, with its engine used for further sequels King’s Bounty: Armored Princess, King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North, and King’s Bounty: Dark Side. King’s Bounty II is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is set to be released sometime in 2020.
