Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Out Now for Consoles

Skybound Games and Beamdog’s Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is now available physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. This is an improved version of the 2002 PC game that includes over one hundred hours of added DLC with co-op and online multiplayer options. The game now supports high-resolution widescreen displays, optimised console controls, new content, a refined user interface, bug fixes, rebalancing, and an updated rendering engine that improves the game’s visual quality. The base game comes with the main campaign as well as the Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark expansions included, while additional modules such as Wyvern Crown of Cormyr and Pirates of the Sword Coast are available as free downloads with the purchase.

Neverwinter Nights is a third-person RPG with game mechanics based on the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edition rule set. The game’s campaign begins with a player-created character being sent on a mission to recover a set of special creatures by Lady Aribeth. The online multiplayer is available via a day one patch on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, with the Xbox One version to receive a separate patch to enable it in January 2020.
