Romancing SaGa 3 Highlights Its Characters
Square Enix has new information detailing the side characters that can be found in Romancing SaGa 3. These characters can be found throughout the game and some can be recruited to fight alongside the player. Additionally, more images have been released of said side characters and the main cast of the game.
The first side character shown is the Minstrel, a traveler who spreads the message of the Matriarch. If the player recruits him, they will be stuck with him until a certain point in the game. The next is Tatyana, a vagabond who seemingly follows the party, offering a different name each time they meet. Undine is a water mage who rules over the northern half of the city of Mahzoz. Players will have the opportunity to recruit her if they resolve the power struggle in the city. Boston is a lobster warrior whose tribe lives on the edge of the world. The tribe are the only ones with knowledge of the location of the Forneus, the Sinistral. Next up is the pair Robin and Psuedo-Robin, masked vigilantes who appear in the port town of Yarmouth. Psuedo-Robin only seems to appear when Robin is unable to make it. Finally, there is Leonid, the vampire count of Podorui. At 500 years old, he knows of both the Matriarch and the Archfiend and will follow whoever holds the Holy Grail.
Originally released on the Super Nintendo in 1995, Romancing SaGa 3 will be available for the first time in the west on November 11, 2019. The game will be available on the Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android. This updated version will contain remastered graphics, a new dungeon, new scenarios, and a New Game+ mode.
