Developer Diary Explores Minecraft Dungeons’ Origins

The creative team of Mojang has provided a video package showing a collection of the staff’s thoughts and ideas that powered the forming of Minecraft Dungeons, the company’s spin-off to the massively popular sandbox game Minecraft. The new game is an action adventure RPG and is inspired by classic dungeon crawlers.

Minecraft Dungeons is set in the Minecraft universe, sharing the artistic style of the original game. Players can create characters, level up, collect and craft gear, and explore and team up with up to three friends. Characters will not have skill trees or unique abilities, but rather will need to rely on the equipment they are wearing to adapt and survive the new circumstances they face. The game is scheduled to release in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
