New Pokémon Sirfetch’d Announced for Pokémon Sword

The Pokémon Company revealed a new Pokémon for the latest generation of games. The new species is named Sirfetch’d and is the evolution of Farfetch’d, one of the original 150 Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Blue. Sirfetch’d will only appear in Pokémon Sword, though it can be traded to Pokémon Shield.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will be released simultaneously worldwide for Nintendo Switch on November 15, 2019. The games will take place in the new region of Galar — where Pokémon battles are very popular, often taking place in stadiums and broadcast on TV across the region — and will introduce the new combat feature of Dynamaxing.
