Pokémon Sword and Shield Director Visits New Town in Galar

The Pokémon Company is not in attendance at this year’s Gamescom, but Pokemon Sword and Shield director Shigeru Ohmori released a video package with some additional footage for the upcoming Nintendo Switch title. The two-minute video displays an unnamed town in the Galar region, showing locations such as the Pokémon Research Lab, Railway Station, Pokémon Center, Grocery Store, and Boutique Shop.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are scheduled to release for the Nintendo Switch on November 15, 2019. Sword and Shield are the first mainline games in the series to grace a home console. A physical double-pack with both versions comes packaged with a SteelBook; pre-ordering the double-pack also provides a code for two Dynamax Pokémon players can fight and capture much sooner than normally encountered.
