Dark Envoy Gamescom Trailer Shows Off Gameplay

Publisher Event Horizon presented a new gameplay trailer at Gamescom 2019 for its upcoming RPG Dark Envoy. The trailer shows characters exploring some of the game’s maps, before moving onto some battle footage. Dark Envoy is heading to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.

Dark Envoy is a non-linear turn-based RPG that supports free world exploration. Players will shuttle around the world map in the Skyship that acts as their base of operations. The world changes based off an in-game clock, meaning new events might appear in old locations after revisiting them. There will be fifteen unique character classes to unlock with the ability to mix skill trees amongst the classes. The game supports solo or two-player co-op, and adds a Player vs. World mode in which the second player acts as the final boss, attempting to thwart the first player before they get too powerful.
