Darksiders Genesis Spin-Off Announced with Trailer

Airship Syndicate and THQ Nordic have announced that the fourth and final Horseman of the Apocalypse will ride forth later this year. Darksiders Genesis, a spin-off to the action RPG series spanning heaven and hell, is set to shake things up by introducing a brand-new perspective into the Darksiders universe. Strife, the gunslinging brother to War, Death, and Fury, takes center stage in this outing, challenging Lucifer himself to save mankind. The new game will feature a top-down perspective, viewable in the trailer below, though combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, and boss encounters are all promised to return.

Darksiders Genesis is aimed at PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, where it will be one of the currently-announced launch titles for Google’s streaming service, Stadia. The game is set to release at an unspecified time later this year.
