Grandia HD Collection Coming to Switch This Month

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced that the Grandia HD Collection, a bundle containing Grandia HD Remaster and Grandia II HD Remaster, will be released for Nintendo Switch on August 16, 2019. The Switch release will be followed by a PC release, though no date has been given. The HD release includes enhanced details on the UI, game sprites, and texture art, and enhancements to the cinematic videos. The games will come with both English and Japanese audio, as well as English, Japanese, French, and German language support.

The first Grandia game was released for Sega Saturn in Japan in 1997 before later coming to PlayStation worldwide. Grandia II was originally released for Sega Dreamcast in 2000 before later being released on PlayStation 2 and PC. Grandia II HD Remaster is currently available individually on PC under the title Grandia II Anniversary Edition, and will be renamed when the collection launches on PC.
