Mutant Year Zero Expansion Announced

Funcom has announced its first expansion for tactical RPG Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. The Seed of Evil expansion will pick up from the end of the main game’s story and adds a new playable character — Big Khan the moose — as a new threat emerges against the party of Dux, Bormin, and Selma and their allies. Players will be able to face new enemies and visit familiar and new locations, as well as make use of improved mutations.

Seed of Evil will be released on July 30, 2019. The retail release for the base game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as the digital release on Nintendo Switch, will also now occur on July 30, 2019, having been previously planned for June. A Deluxe Edition will also available both digitally and at retail that includes the base game and the Seed of Evil expansion.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has died out and anthropomorphic animals have taken over, Mutant Year Zero puts players in control of a squad of scavengers roaming the land looking for supplies and riches. The game was originally released digitally for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in December 2018.
