PlatinumGames Announces New IP

PlatinumGames has announced a new IP with a teaser trailer. The new game looks to combine the developer’s traditional expertise in action titles with the world of business and has been given the title Chief Executive Omni-Weapon Ken-Ichi. The teaser ends with the date of October 25, 2019, noting the date as President Kenichi Sato’s 57th birthday.

In actual upcoming releases for PlatinumGames, the developer is partnering with Nintendo for Astral Chain, an action RPG following a police squad set in a futuristic, multicultural city called The Ark. PlatinumGames is also developing Babylon’s Fall, an action RPG being published by Square Enix that appears to blend fantasy and sci-fi elements. Astral Chain is due to be released for Nintendo Switch on August 30, 2019, while Babylon’s Fall is planned for release on PC and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2019.
