Ys IX: Monstrum Nox takes place in Baldeux, which is northeast of Esterior, the setting for Ys I & II. The game is set in a large prison city, with its story focusing on people with supernatural abilities who known as “Monstrum”. The game will feature the series traditional gameplay elements, including fast-paced combat and large bosses, alongside new elements including supernatural actions to aid exploration. Didn’t one of his memoirs mention Adol in prison? Would be weird for him not show up at all.
