Mario + Rabbids Announces New Community Competition

Ubisoft has announced that it is planning a new series of events for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Known as the Community Competition, the events, beginning in December 2018 and continuing throughout 2019, will feature remixed challenge events that must be completed under specific circumstances.

Split over three seasons — the Winter Games, the Spring Games, and the Summer Games — the Community Competition will have players revisiting missions to complete them with new limitations, such as only using secondary weapons or only using dash attacks. Each season will have a list of new challenges that, if completed, will give players a chance to win a trip to Milan and Paris to visit the game’s development studio and compete in a Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Versus tournament. To participate in the competition, players need only have the base game. The first season begins on December 14, 2018, with new challenges being added on January 3, 2019, and January 16, 2019. Registration for the competition begins on December 13, 2018. For more information, including the rules of the competition, interested readers can find the announcement on Ubisoft’s website.

Released for the Nintendo Switch in 2017, Mario + Rabbids is a tactical RPG where players take control of Mario, his friends, and their Rabbid counterparts as they seek to prevent the Rabbids from destroying the Mushroom Kingdom.
