Vestaria Saga Coming West in 2019, Steam Demo Imminent

DANGEN Entertainment has announced that it will be bringing Vestaria Saga — a strategy RPG from Shouzou Kaga, one of the original creators of the Fire Emblem series — to North America and Europe. The game will be released in 2019, with a demo version set to be made available on Steam within the next day.

Vestaria Saga was originally released in Japan in 2016 and was developed using the SRPG Studio creation suite, which is set to be released on Steam next week. The game follows young warrior Zadrian as he is thrust into a conflict between his small coastal kingdom and the neighbouring empire.

Interesting that SRPG Studio is sneaking out next week. I remember when that got announced back in 2015. A 16-bit SRPG creator seems much more interesting than RPG maker.

Boy those screenshots of Vestaria look a lot like early Fire Emblem games. Just generic enough not to be legally actionable I suppose. Always up for some more SPRGs though.
