Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee & Pikachu! Receive New Media

The Pokémon Company has provided a new trailer and screenshots for the upcoming Nintendo Switch titles Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and Let’s Go, Pikachu!. The video provides a basic overview of the game, highlighting its basic aspects and introducing various characters.

As with nearly every previous generation of Pokémon titles, certain species will be unique to each version, with Oddish, Sandshrew, and Growlithe exclusive to Pikachu, and Bellsprout, Vulpix, and Meowth exclusive to Eevee. Like Pokémon Yellow, the game that Let’s Go is effectively a remake of, the player’s starter Pokémon will stay out of its Poké Ball and follow the player trainer around or travel on his or her head. Players will be able to interact with their starter Pokémon as well as style it with clothing, accessories, and even hairstyles.

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! are due to launch worldwide for Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018. The games blend a remake of Pokémon Yellow with elements from smartphone title Pokémon Go, with wild Pokémon now visible on screen before being encountered and these taking the form of Pokémon Go‘s capture encounters rather than standard Pokémon battles.

  1. Huh, interesting. I do believe this is the first time since the introduction of sexually dimorphic Pokemon that an older species was given one in a later generation. I hope this means female Eevee will have a better gender ratio than 87.5% male to 12.5% female. 😛
