Phantom Doctrine Steps Out of Shadows with Release Date, Cinematic Trailer

After taking players to the Hard West, developer CreativeForge Games are tackling the Cold War in their alternate-history 1980s turn-based tactical RPG, Phantom Doctrine. This espionage thriller sees players in charge of The Cabal, a rogue intelligence cell tasked with combatting a global conspiracy. To do this, players must develop their clandestine base of operations, investigate cases, train their agents, forge documents and identities, research new tech, and interrogate and brainwash enemies for strategic advantage. Missions can be similarly centered around stealth, but players will also have the choice to go in guns blazing.

With a new cinematic trailer, the game now has the official US release date of August 14, 2018, at a price point of $39.99. Though a European release is also expected, the announcement did not detail whether this will be on a different date. The game will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on PC via Steam and GOG.
