Atlus Reveals Persona 3 and 5 Dancing Details

Atlus has revealed several new details regarding its upcoming Persona rhythm game spin-offs Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night. The new details primarily concern the story, features, and characters, and are joined by various screenshots of the two games in action.

Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night‘s story sees the members of the Special Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) gathered in a room called Club Velvet. Here, Elizabeth announces that she is going to throw a party, calling herself Eli-P. Persona 5: Dancing Star Night shares a very similar opening, with the Phantom Thieves also waking up in Club Velvet. Once again a party is announced, but by Justine and Caroline instead.

The rhythm game aspects are very similar to Persona 4: Dancing All Night, with players choosing from four difficulty levels and selecting a secondary character who appears with the primary character during Fever Time sections. The two games also feature an area called “Commu.” Here, players can talk with other characters and see various side-events. Events can be unlocked by meeting certain requirements, and in turn unlock new costumes.

Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night are set to be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on May 24, 2018. No announcement has been made regarding western releases for the games.
