Rockbeasts Set for January
Lichthund announced that its band management RPG Rockbeasts will release in January 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. A demo is now available for the game on PC via Steam.
In addition to the release window and demo, the company announced it has partnered with Critical Role on the game, who will be supporting the game as it previously did with Adhoc Games’s episodic adventure Dispatch. Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer, Sam Riegel, and Liam O’Brien are confirmed to be part of the game’s voice cast.
Rockbeasts puts players in the role a manager for an up-and-coming rock band in an alternate mid-1990s United States populated by anthropomorphic animals. As manager, players will need to pick concert venues as well as manage the band’s schedules to get them ready to perform. The game will feature over 100 characters and 90 locations that will be impacted by player choices. The game is written by Jakub Szamałek (senior writer for The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Blood of Dawnwalker).
