Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Releasing in March, Alpha Demo Available

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that action RPG Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will release on March 4, 2027. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. To mark the release date announcement, the companies have put out a free alpha demo on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, which will be playable until September 30, 2026. The demo includes an in-progress character creation system and online multiplayer for up to three players. Those who complete the demo will receive the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet in-game item in the full release.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is a sequel to 2023 title Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The game is set in an alternate dark fantasy version of late Eastern Han period in ancient China. The game sees home village of the protagonist and their friend, Pang Tong, destroyed by Cao Cao’s forces as the land falls into war while demons roam across it. In a quest for revenge, players aid Liu Bei in his fight against Cao Cao’s forces, before joining Sun Quan in Jiangdong alongside Pang Tong to repel Cao Cao.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will feature fast-paced combat with new evolved actions. It will also add Insight Skills, which let players evade enemy attacks and use the terrain to launch counterattacks. Players will visit recreations of famous battles in the Three Kingdoms era, such as the Battle of Changban and the Battle of the Red Cliffs, being freely able to explore the environments that include mountain fortresses and valley strongholds.
