Aegis Force: The Scorian War Released in Early Access

Developer Zenahive (formerly Deseret Games Studio) has released its tactical RPG Aegis Force: The Scorian War on Steam Early Access. The initial Early Access version is available for $24.99, with a 10% launch discount, and includes around six to ten hours of content plus seven recruitable characters. The game is expected to spend up to a year in Early Access before fully releasing for PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. New content is planned to be added every four to eight weeks, with the full game planned to contain around twenty to thirty hours of content.

Aegis Force: The Scorian War is billed as being inspired by titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Shining Force II. The game features 2D sprites in 3D environments and takes place on the continent of Ianua, where two nations powered respectively by magic and technology have been locked in a century-long war. Players follow childhood friends Callon Roth, Orvus Magnaric, and Vedette Kairn as they recruit allies while planning heists, fighting monsters, uncovering secrets, and more. The full game will include over fifteen recruitable characters, with combat taking place on grid-based battlefields. Players can use a variety of spells and abilities, with party members able to develop bonds that allow for powerful combo attacks.
