Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements Demo Available

Developer Embers Studio and publisher HARRISONWORLD have released a demo for roguelike strategy RPG Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements. The demo is available for PC via Steam and build upon a previous playtest for the game. The demo includes a new tutorial, additional story moments, an upgraded training ground, improved movement, and more.

Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements is set on a fantasy continent shaped by the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Lightning. While the elements previously stayed separate, they have now begun to interact and reactions spreading across the land and causing catastrophe. The game follows Elise, a silver-haired girl who is taken in as a priestess of the Wood Domain. She is unable resonate with nature and is thus looked down upon by her fellow witches, but manages to befriend a young dragon named Pipi. As the elemental reactions grow more violent, Pipi begins to weaken and the duo set out to return to Pipi’s Lightning Domain, potentially learning the truth behind the elements on their travels.

The game is said to combine RPG progression, procedural exploration, and turn-based tactical combat. Players will advance through battles, dialogue, random events, and ruin exploration. Elise ends up able to wield a wide range of elemental magic, and is able to combine spells and the environment to trigger elemental reactions and chain effects. The game will also include alchemy and cultivation gameplay elements.
