Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure Getting PS5, Switch 2 Release
Publisher Hamster Corporation announced that it is releasing Nippon Ichi Software’s musical RPG Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be released internationally under the company’s “Console Archives” label on July 9, 2026, priced at $14.99.
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is the first title in the Marl Kingdom series, which acts as a precursor to Disgaea. It was originally released for PlayStation in Japan in 1998 and in North America in 2000. A Nintendo DS version was released in Japan and North America in 2008 and in Europe in 2009, with the game also released on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2021 through the NIS Classics Vol. 3 collection alongside La Pucelle: Ragnarok. Rhapsody follows Cornet, a girl who is able to talk to puppets, and Kururu, a puppet with a human soul. They attempt to save Prince Ferdinand after he is turned to stone by a witch.
