  1. I suppose this counts as a gaming white whale: After I learned about it, I became curious to try to play what may be the oldest computer RPG that is still playable. It is called pedit5 or The Dungeon and it was developed for the PLATO computer network in 1975. I am interested in the early days of computer and video role-playing games, but I’m not sure if I want to put effort into trying to play pedit5. Getting a PLATO emulator working on a modern computer seems a tad complicated and the game is apparently really hard. I managed to get through the ancient RPG Akalabeth, so I’m still curious to try something that’s primordial in comparison.
