Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin Releasing Next Week

The Pokémon Company announced that the first part of Pokémon Pokopia‘s Expansion Pass, Bubbly Basin, will release on August 5, 2026. The DLC will release alongside the game’s free version 2.0 update. The free update introduces and introduce Dive, a move that Ditto can learn that expands the game underwater. The DLC further expands underwater content, introducing an underwater town where players can encounter new Pokémon, obtain ocean floor-themed furniture, and find new outfits.

Bubbly Basin is the first of three planned DLC covered in the Expansion Pass. Part two will include additional fashion-related features and release in late 2026, while part three will add another new town and release in 2027.

Pokémon Pokopia is available on Nintendo Switch 2 and sees players control a Ditto that can transform into a human shape. It lets players learn moves from befriended Pokémon and construct an environment that attracts other Pokémon while collecting materials, building furniture and homes, and growing vegetables. The game features a synchronised day-night cycle, changing weather, and a variety of in-game locations, with players able to invite friends to visit.
