Fable Reboot Delayed to February

Microsoft announced that it has delayed the upcoming Fable reboot. Initially slated to release this fall, the open-world action RPG, being developed by Playground Games, is now planned to launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in February 2027.

Fable’s version of Albion will be unconnected to the original series created by Lionhead. The game starts out with the player as a child before jumping forward in time to their adulthood at starting village Briar Hill, where an incident sees the village turned to stone. Setting out to try and reverse it, players’ only clues are a mysterious stranger that they briefly witness, as well as a mention of Bowerstone and the Heroes’ Guild.
