Dead Weight Prologue Released
Klukva Games and Spaghetti Cat have released a free prologue demo for turn-based steampunk strategy RPG Dead Weight. The prologue demo, available on Steam, lets players check out the opening part of the game, covering 40-60 minutes of content, as barbarian Alm attempts to rescue Berr, who has been kidnapped by the mad oracle Aluza.
Dead Weight is currently planned to release for PC via Steam in 2026. The game sees players explore floating islands in a procedurally-generated world with their flying pirate ship and face off against ancient gods. Combat is said to be inspired by Into the Breach and Final Fantasy Tactics, with players developing four distinct characters through their unique skills trees. Exploration includes random events alongside fatigue and madness mechanics.
