Square Enix Shares The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Interview

Square Enix has posted an interview with developers Tomoya Asano (Concept and Planning) and Naofumi Matsushita (Producer) about recently announced HD-2D action RPG The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. In the interview, the developers discuss the game’s inspirations and ideas, as well as some of its gameplay elements.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is set in the beast-filled world of Philabieldia. Humanity has been restricted to its last bastion in the Kingdom of Huther and its protective walls. The game follows adventurer Elliot and his fairy companion Faie, who set out on a journey after a set of ruins is discovered just outside the kingdom’s walls. The story ends up taking them across space and time after discovering the Doorway of Time, which connects the past and present.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 and is planned to release in 2026, with a demo version available to try out now on Nintendo Switch 2.
