Mosquitoes are a source of food for various animals, including waterfowl, bats, swallows, some species of fish, some species of frogs (mainly as tadpoles), spiders, baby praying mantises, and even other species of mosquitoes. I have heard it claimed that because mosquitoes are so small, they could be eliminated without significantly affecting the food web. While I do worry about the environment, if mosquitoes could be eradicated safely, I would welcome it.
Anyway, the strangest video game collaboration I’ve come across has to be the Pokémon-branded X-ray machines created by the Shimadzu Corporation in 2009. They were made to make kids more comfortable with taking X-rays. They’re a bit odd but kind of neat.
