Neverwinter MMORPG Adds Red Harvest Update

Arc Games has released a new major update for free-to-play Dungeon & Dragons MMORPG Neverwinter. The Red Harvest update — available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One — adds the eponymous 31st content module to the game, which includes a new Adventure Zone: Tyraturos, Tower District. The new zone is set in the heart of the nation of Thay and said to be inspired by its depiction in the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. It features a three-act storyline as players are tasked with putting an end to the tyranny of powerful lich Szass Tam and the Red Wizards, with players exploring its three sprawling neighborhoods and a towering structure to the north.

The update also features a new boss trial, Shackles of Divinity, which comes in three difficulty levels, as well as a number of returning events including Protector’s Jubilee, Celebration of Liira, Summer Festival, Tymora’s Gift, and more. There are also a variety of new in-game items, bundles, and packs available to purchase.

Created by Crpytic Studios and previously published by Perfect World Entertainment and Gearbox Publishing SF, Neverwinter originally released for PC in 2013 before launching for Xbox One in 2015 and PlayStation 4 in 2016. The game takes place in the Forgotten Realms setting, largely centred on the city of Neverwinter, though subsequent modules have taken players to a variety of other locations. Its action combat is based on Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition.
