Palia Getting Free Expansion, PlayStation and Xbox Console Release in May
Developer Singularity 6 announced that it will be releasing both an expansion and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions for its open beta free-to-play life sim adventure Palia. The free Elderwood expansion and new platform versions will release on May 13, 2025. The game features full cross-platform support with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions joining the existing PC and Nintendo versions.
Elderwood adds a new magical forest-themed Adventure Zone to the game. It includes new story content and quests, as well as new collectibles, huntable creatures, items, recipes, decor, and more. Players can find new Artifacts, which can be used to unlock the game’s new Relics equipment system. Those looking to read more about Elderwood can check out RPGamer’s preview of the expansion.
Palia is set in a world where humans are considered a legendary race that disappeared thousands of years ago. Players will be able to form and build relationships with a diverse cast of NPCs, including romance, as well as interact with other players. The game is intended to cater to those who want to uncover the secrets behind humanity’s disappearance, as well as those who’d rather live an idyllic and quiet life in a lakeside village, with lots of customization options.
