Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column, we look to provide our readers with details on the major RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.
Augmented Empire

This PC version is the first non-VR version of cyberpunk strategy RPG Augmented Empire. The game is set in the city of New Savannah in 2058 and includes voice acting from Kate Mulgrew, Nick Frost, and Garrick Hagon. Players lead a team of six playable misfits from their secluded hideout, controlling the team in augmented reality to overthrow the city’s corrupt elite.

Dinosaur is a turn-based RPG originally released by Nihon Falcom in 1990 for NEC PC-8801 systems. Although the game is available to purchase internationally, players should be aware that the main game and gallery screen are in Japanese, while other menu screens and “how to play” screens are in English.

Board game/RPG hybrid Dokapon! Sword of Fury is a remake of Dokapon! Ikari no Tetsuken, the third game in the series, which released for PlayStation in Japan in 1998. It finally received a western release with its PC version earlier this year. Like other titles in the series, it sees players taking on the role of competing adventurers aiming to earn the most money. Players earn money by saving towns from monsters in turn-based battles, entering tournaments, betraying their fellow adventurers, and more.
Faun Town

Faun Town is an automation-themed farming RPG. The game sees players awakening after apparently crashlanding on an island and losing their memories. Players explore the island and scavenge for resources while building up automation lines to help defend their new home and repair their ship.
Game Over: A Musical RPG??
Musical platforming RPG Game Over: A Musical RPG?? is said to feature rhythm-based combat encounters, zany characters, moral conundrums, and platforming elements. The game includes multiple endings, an “arguably funny” plot, and diegetic music.

The Lunar Remastered Collection contains remasters of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. It includes a variety of quality-of-life features, including an adjustable Battle Speed-Up option in both games, a toggleable unified inventory system for the first game, and customisable character AI behavior for the first game’s battles. It will also include “Remastered Mode” and “Classic Mode” for both games.

Sci-fi action RPG LunarLux is set a thousand years after a catastrophe led to planet Terra becoming volcanic and lifeless, with the surviving humans managing to make their way onto its moon, Luna. The game follows Lunar Warrior Bella as she attempts to destroy a comet threatening to wipe out the survivors, and features a hybrid turn- and action-based combat system that draws inspirations from Mega Man Battle Network, Undertale, and Mario & Luigi.

Dark fantasy side-scrolling RPG Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is set in the world of Faelduum, which is in decline as the boundary between it and another realm called Entropy fades, unleashing monsters into the world. Players attempt to take their world back from the monsters, using the legendary Witch Lantern to explore Entropic Corridors, parts of the world already claimed by Entropy.

Online RPG Portal Fantasy puts the player in the role of a human transported to a fantasy world. Enrolled at the prestigious Porble Academy, the player is tasked with fulfilling trivial tasks that will lead to a more perilous adventure. Players can capture creatures called Porbles, which aid them in turn-based battles, exploration, and solving puzzles. The game features PvP that allows players to battle each other, with more multiplayer features releasing later, and requires internet access to play, even for its single-player mode.
