Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era Arriving on Early Access in Summer

Publisher Ubisoft and developer Unfrozen announced that Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, the first new entry in the strategic Heroes of Might & Magic / Might & Magic Heroes series since 2015’s Might & Magic Heroes VII, will release on Steam Early Access this summer. The game is currently expected to spend around a year in Early Access before fully launching. The announcement comes with a new cinematic story trailer, viewable below.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era takes place on the continent of Jadame, which has been mentioned in the series but not previously visited. Gameplay sees players expanding the castles and kingdom while sending out heroes and armies to explore and defeat foes. The campaign sees rival factions banding together to defeat the Hive, a swarm of insectoids corrupted by a demon lord. There will also be various single maps and randomly-generated scenarios as well as a selection of competitive multiplayer modes and a map editor that will let players share their creations with others.
