Level-5 Provides Fantasy Life i, Inazuma Eleven Updates

Developer Level-5 posted the first entry in its new “Five-Star Workshop Devlog”. The post, featuring information from CEO Akihiro Hino, provides some new updates on the development and release of both Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time and Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals TimeĀ is said to be in the final balance adjustments with all game data completed. The game has experienced some difficulties during development, with Level-5 revealing that producer Keiji Inafune left in mid-2024. With the game testing poorly internally, Akihiro Hino took on the producer role and brought the core development from Osaka to the studio’s headquarters in Fukuoka and expanded collaborate efforts across the developer’s locations, including Osaka and Tokyo. The restructuring was followed by a substantial overhaul to the game, including adding open-world exploration and parkour elements.

A follow-up to Nintendo 3DS title Fantasy Life, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time sees players drifting onto an island that was previously home to a prosperous civilisation. Players develop the island through quests and crafting, before being able to time travel back into the past, where they can learn secrets about the island and potentially rewrite history. The game will include fourteen different roles, or Lives, for players to freely change between as they build up their town. Fantasy Life i will release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on May 21, 2025. It will include online co-op for up to four players along with multiplatform Cross-Play and Cross-Save.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road (referred to as Inazuma Eleven V) will receive a special showcase event. The “Inazuma Eleven V Heroes Showcase 2025” will take place on April 11, 2025, and include a rundown of the game’s features as well as announcement of its release date. Level-5 stated that there have been major improvements to the gameplay systems shown in its demo from last year as the game approaches its final stages of development.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road acts as a reboot for the series. Story Mode tells a new story following Destin Billows (Unmei Sasanami in the Japanese version), a boy who dislikes soccer and wishes to see it disappear, and Harper Evans (Haru Endo), a soccer star standing at the top of the world. Meanwhile, Competition Mode sees players able to form a team from the players that appeared across the series as they take the Inazuma V Caravan across time, battling teams from the past. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
