Dark Quest 4 Announced

Developer and publisher Brain Seal announced turn-based RPG Dark Quest 4. The title takes inspiration from board games such as Hero Quest, Descent, and Dungeon Saga. The announcement came with the release of a gameplay trailer, which can be viewed below.

Dark Quest 4 sees players building a three-person party and leading it through different hand-crafted quests. The game is billed as featuring a visual style that is similar to tabletop games, with a voiced dungeon master and animated figurines acting as characters. Players can play solo or with up to two players in multiplayer co-op. They can also create their own quests and campaigns and share them with other players through Steam Workshop.

Dark Quest 4 will launch this fall for PC and Nintendo Switch as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles. It is currently available to wishlist on Steam.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
