The Dark Horizon‘s story sees players returning to N’Erud and uncovering a mysterious place where alien farmlands are tended by robots. The place, whose inhabitants perished long time ago, is now home to rogue AI and dangerous machines. Players will be tasked with unveiling the secrets of a colossal entity that dominates the skyline, with a new glider traversal system to help them in this endeavor. This new adventure comes with new dungeons, enemies, items, and more. In addition, players will be able to acquire a new archetype, the Warden, whose automated drone can shield, heal, or even attack enemies.

Players can take on the Boss Rush mode solo or in co-op multiplayer, with three difficulty options to choose from. It will be accessible from the World Stone in Ward 13, similarly to how Campaign or Adventure is selected. The free update also adds Prisms to rebalance the fragment system, they can be leveled up to gain additional stat bonuses.

Remnant II is a sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes. Like its predecessor, the title is a third-person shooter RPG in which up to three players battle the Root through semi-random campaigns, offering a unique path through the game when started. It features a mix of shooting and melee combat with a heavier focus on the customisable archetypes. Remnant II is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
