Chrono Sword Gets Publisher

CFK announced that it will be publishing 21c.Ducks’s Soulslike action RPG Chrono Sword. The title successfully reached its funding goal during a Kickstarter campaign held in 2020. It is planned to come to Steam Early Access later this year, with the full game set to release on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Chrono Sword takes place in the fantasy world of Adelnor and follows the adventure of Aenor, an amnesiac woman who awakens in a city in flames before going through a gate that leads her into the future. There, she makes the acquaintance of a dying woman who entrusts her with her mission. Players are tasked with traveling between the past and the present to uncover the truth about the ruined state of the world and prevent it from happening.

The game features an isometric pixel art style and real-time combat inspired by Dark Souls that involves attacks, dodges, and parries. Players can customise Aenor with various pieces of equipment and collectibles to suit their playstyle. Time traveling is part of the exploration and allows to uncover secrets.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
