New To Heart and Utawarerumono Projects in Development

Developer and publisher Aquaplus teased new projects for its To Heart and Utawarerumono franchises. This reveal can be found at the end of the teaser (viewable below) dedicated to the Great Aquaplus Festival: 30th Anniversary planned for November 9, 2024.

To Heart is originally a Japanese visual novel series that became a multimedia franchise counting multiple anime and manga adaptations. The spin-off of the second To Heart visual novel, Dungeon Travelers: To Heart 2 in Another World, is the first game of the dungeon crawler series Dungeon Travelers, whose titles received PC ports last year.

Utawarerumono is a multimedia franchise that started with hybrid strategy RPG/visual novels. Adaptations and spin-offs include action RPGs, manga, anime, and more. The latest game of the series is a turn-based RPG titled Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, which is set prior to the events of the second mainline game Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
