The Thaumaturge Delayed to March

Publisher 11 bit studios announced the release date for Fool’s Theory’s dark fantasy RPG The Thaumaturge has been pushed back. Previously planned to launch on PC on February 20, 2024, the game will now launch on March 4, 2024. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned to follow some time after the PC release. The companies stated the delay is due to the “busy launch period” and the desire to see the title gets “the attention we believe it deserves”. The additional time given by the release date delay will be used to polish the game further.

The Thaumaturge is set in an alternate version of 1905 Warsaw, following its recent annexation by the Russian Empire. Its setting features supernatural beings called Salutors that exist in the cracks of the real world. These Salutors can only be fully perceived by Thaumaturges, people who use their unique abilities and see deep into the psyches of humans.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPG. At the time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones, the JRPG!
