Marvelous, XSEED Games Announce Silent Hope
Marvelous and XSEED Games announced new action RPG Silent Hope. The game is inspired by classic isometric dungeon-crawlers and is planned to release internationally on PC and Nintendo Switch on October 3, 2023. A physical Nintendo Switch Day One Edition will be available in North America for $49.99, with the digital versions to be available for $39.99. In addition to a physical copy of the game, the Day One Edition includes a physical art book and a soundtrack CD.
Silent Hope is set in a once-peaceful land, which was silenced by its previous king, who stole people’s speech before escaping into a chasm known as The Abyss. Mourning her father’s actions, the kingdom’s princess was crystallised within her own tears. Many years after these events, seven heroes are drawn to the princess and aim to break her free by finding the lost king.
Each of the seven heroes has their own unique fighting style, such as the all-around Wanderer, long-range Archer, and melee-focused Warrior. After each excursion into the Abyss, the heroes return to their base camp, where they can craft, cook, and otherwise prepare for the next trip. Each hero has their own non-combat role in the base camp, while the Abyss features randomised layouts that change every time players enter.
