Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Revealed
Square Enix revealed its newest Dragon Quest Monsters title, which was teased last month with the celebration of the spin-off series’ 25th anniversary. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is planned to release on Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2023.
The game follows Psaro, the eponymous cursed prince, and his companion Rose in the world of Nadiria. Psaro’s curse stops him from harming monsters, causing him to become a Monster Wrangler, recruiting and fighting with monsters. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will feature seasons with the game cycling through winter, spring, summer, and fall. Different seasons will change the landscape as well as the monsters that appear. The game will also include the synthesis system, which lets Psaro create new monsters by combining ones in their roster. Over 500 different monsters will be available to unlock.
