Remnant II Shows the Challenger Archetype

Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games released a new trailer for action RPG Remnant II. The two-minute video introduces the Challenger archetype, one of bases for customisable character builds. The Challenger is billed as a close to mid-range destroyer, dealing strong damage with powerful melee and ranged attacks. Its perks and abilities encourage players to wade into danger.

Remnant II is a sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes. Like its predecessor, the game has up to three players battling the Root through semi-random campaigns that seeds a unique path through the game when started. It features a mix of shooting and melee combat with a heavier focus on the customizable archetypes. Remnant II is set to release in summer 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
