Broken Roads Highlights Its Pacifist Route

Publisher Versus Evil and developer Drop Bear Bytes released a new trailer for the upcoming Broken Roads. The video highlights the game’s inclusion of the possibility of pacifist character builds and playthroughs, letting players get through the game without combat or killing foes. Attempting to avoid conflict will require players think carefully about their actions and the goals they pursue.

Broken Roads is set in Western Australia and follows a group of companions as they travel across the region, making allies, battling enemies, and investigating strange goings-on. The game features real-time exploration with turn-based combat and a hand-drawn art style, as well as character development built around four philosophies: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. It is planned to release later this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
