Blade Prince Academy Demo Released, Kickstarter Campaign Started

Angel Corp and Firesquid Games have released a free demo for Blade Prince Academy. The demo for the real-time-with-pause strategy RPG is available via Steam and features around an hour and a half of gameplay. It covers four missions, including a tutorial and a boss battle.

In addition, the companies have begun a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The campaign — which runs until June 29, 2023, and has a €40,000 funding goal — is designed to help add additional community-driven content to the game. Those who pledge at least €14 (around $16), will receive a digital copy of Blade Prince Academy for PC when it launches. The game is currently planned to release later this year.

Blade Prince Academy is set in the city of Abjectalia. Players lead a squad of students in the eponymous academy protecting the city from threats such as gangs, cults, and vampires. Relationships between the party grow as they interact at the academy through training and activities, with player choices helping determine the fate of the city. The game features a selection of unique heroes with their own strengths, weaknesses, backstories, and talent trees, as well as pacts that grant benefits and drawbacks.
