Remnant II Shows Handler’s Best Friend

Gearbox Software and Gunfire Games released a new archetype-focused trailer for action RPG Remnant II. The two-minute video shows the Handler, which is accompanied by a faithful canine companion. The dog can attack and distract enemies, with the Handler’s Prime Perk allowing the dog to revive them and their teammates while their Archetype Trait reduces all friendly fire.

Remnant II is a sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes. Like its predecessor, the game has up to three players battling the Root through semi-random campaigns that seeds a unique path through the game when started. It features a mix of shooting and melee combat with a heavier focus on the customizable archetypes. Remnant II is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and is currently planned to release in summer 2023.
