Loop8: Summer of Gods Opening Movie Released

XSEED Games and Marvelous released a new trailer for the upcoming Loop8: Summer of Gods. The video shows the game’s opening cinematic, which features the theme song “Genfunkei”, performed by NaHo/QiSui. The game is set to release in Japan on June 1, 2023, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with its North American and European PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and worldwide PC releases following on June 6, 2023.

Loop8 sees Nini and his classmates attempting to defeat demonic creatures called Kegai. Nini’s special “Demon Sight” ability allows him to reset the world, letting him and his allies relive their summer until they manage to defeat the Kegai or are completely defeated. Character bonds play a key role, with the game featuring an emotion-driven AI system that sees characters stories, reactions, and combat capabilities changing based on player choices and their relationships with other characters.
