Risen Hitting New Platforms in January

THQ Nordic announced that it is releasing Piranha Bytes’s action RPG Risen on new platforms. The game will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on January 24, 2023. Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch exclusive to Gamestop in North America. In addition, the game’s PC version will be receiving an update to add gamepad support.

Risen was originally released for PC and Xbox 360 in 2009, and is set on the fantasy island of Faranga. Players control a stowaway who is shipwrecked on the island on by a Titan. While exploring the island, they align with one of the game’s factions and become caught up in the machinations of the island’s ruler Mendoza. The game produced two sequels: Risen 2: Dark Waters and Risen 3: Titan Lords.
