Flowstone Saga Gets New Trailer, Launching Next Year

Developer Impact Gameworks released a new trailer for Flowstone Saga to mark the game’s appearance and the demo available during this week’s Steam Next Fest. The two-minute video shows the game’s puzzle-based combat, where players defeat monsters using falling blocks, and introduces its premise and other gameplay elements. In addition, the developer revealed the game is currently planned to release in 2023 for PC, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch.

Flowstone Saga is set in Ocean’s End, a collection of backwater islands that becomes the site for a showdown between the navy of the Byzankar Republic and the pirate king Borras Crimm. The game stars Mirai, a young woman who arrived at Ocean’s End’s biggest town of New Riverstone a year before the events of the game and made it her home. After finding the Flowstone in a ruin, she gains the ability to use a power known as Flow to create and alter structures. The game underwent a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2021.
